Over 600 children, parents, grandparents and friends took over Main Street in downtown Downers Grove on Sunday, October 23rd to take part in our annual Children's Halloween Parade and Costume Contest. The parade ended at Fishel Park where Lions Club members handed our free trick-or-treat bags, fresh apples provided by Chili's Restaurant of Downers Grove and cold, delicious apple cider to the the kids. Our 4 first place costume contest winners were:

Congratulations to all of the kids though for their outstanding costumes and continued support of our club! Thanks also to the Downers Grove Police Department for keeping us safe on Main Street, and the downtown merchants for providing safe trick-or-treating after our event. We couldn't have done it without you.
