Local Downers Grove Resident Hits a Hole in One at the YMCA Chip in' 4 Kidz Golf Outing

Local Downers Grove Resident Hits a Hole in One at the YMCA's Chip in’ 4 Kidz Golf Outing

The Indian Boundary YMCA golf event started like any other outing, but within the first two hours, a new level of excitement and energy emerged with golfer Emmitt Hesse , new to the Y outing, hit a “Hole in One.”  The YMCA, with support from two Hole in One Sponsors, (Dearborn National and Codilis & Associates, P.C.) purchased the optional insurance which made it possible for Hesse to collect the award prize:  a 2012 Harley Davidson Roadster (or cash equivalent).   The hole in one shot happened at the annual Indian Boundary YMCA's Chip in’ 4 Kidz Golf Outing at the Bolingbrook Golf Club on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

Eighty-seven golfers participated in a number of activities and events to help the YMCA raise more than $30,000. These funds will help support the Indian Boundary YMCA’s financial assistance program, which subsidizes membership and programs for those unable to pay the full cost.  This fulfills our mission that every child, adult, and senior citizen deserves to participate in our programming, regardless of their inability to pay.

A special thank you to The Ronald L. McDaniel Foundation, who served as the Event Sponsor and to the seven Eagle Sponsors:  Bank of America, Harris Bank, Lemon Tree Grocer, MacLean Fogg, Medial Risk, Northern Trust, and Wells Fargo Bank.  A variety of local businesses and Y donors also pledged their support with Lunch, Dinner, The 19th Hole,  Hole in One, and Birdie Sponsorships.
