Downers Grove Park District is hosting its annual Safety Town Program for children ages 5 and 6, 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Aug. 1-6, at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Rd.  Safety Town teaches children lessons in pedestrian, passenger and at home safety through “hands-on” activities and video presentations. The fee is $24 for residents and $35 for nonresidents.

The program is offered in cooperation with the Downers Grove Police Department and the Downers Grove Jr. Woman’s Club.  Registration is accepted at the Lincoln Center, 935 Maple Ave., Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Rd. or on-line at www.dgparks.org.
