Best Of Patch: Breakfast!
Pancakes, waffles, eggs, whatever...where do you go for breakfast?
Some say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and as we start a regularly occuring "Best Of" feature across Patch, the first thing that popped in my mind were hashbrowns. Hashbrowns and waffles, specifically. (It could have something to do with a recent trip to Waffle House.)
Below is a list of some of the breakfast places listed in the DG Patch directory. If we're missing one of your favorites, let me know in the comments and I'll add it. After the list is a poll, which will be open till Friday at 9 a.m., with the winner being determined after that. (In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the number of positive comments made below). So vote for your favorite place and tell us why in the comments!

Two items:
Your survey selection says "Lemon Street Cafe." It should be Lemont Street Cafe. I thought you might be referring to a cafe inside the Lemon Tree Grocer at first.
Second, I've been to every restaurant on your list for breakfast. The best breakfast in Downers Grove is at Downers Delight at 75th and Fairview. Excellent tasty food and consistently good.

Thanks John. Downers Delight does serve a great breakfast and is a convenient spot for DG south siders.

How 'bout a recommendation for a great breakfast burrito (not Micky D's)?

Recently had a good one at Kristina's. Good hashbrowns too. Also, you can cross the border into Westmont and try Taco Express at 63rd and Fairview.

A second grader could have prepared a more comprehensive list of places to eat breakfast than you did, Robert. Ever heard of Google? My favorite place is Jam 'n Jelly Cafe. I like Emmy's too but it's not in Downers Grove which I assume the list was going for.

Honey Jam is in Downers Grove, but it is just OK, like most all of the others on the list.

I prefer savory to sweet, so for me it's Omega over Juicy-O's.
