Five candidates for the Community High School District 99 school board answered 10 questions at the March 16 League of Women Voters forum.

Incumbent Allyn Barnett and challengers Mike Davenport, Cliff Grammich, Nancy Kupka and Keith Matune responded to questions posed by moderator Lori Miller of the LWV. 9. In the wake of the Klamm decision, how do you propose restoring student morale?

10. In light of what is happening in Madison, Wisconsin, and other states around the United States, what are your feelings about the value of teachers as public employees and their right to collectively bargain for both salary and working conditions that have an impact on the students they teach?

I apologize, my full comment did not come through. I am grateful to the Patch for posting the questions and answers from all of the forums and providing coverage on all of the elections. I find this incredibly helpful information as I ponder who to vote for overall.
