The No. 8 Downers Grove North football team will face No. 1 Batavia in the first round of the Class 7A playoffs Friday, the IHSA announced Monday afternoon.

The game will be held at 7 p.m. at Batavia High School, 1201 Main St. in Batavia.

The Trojans (5-4, 2-4) wrapped up their regular season Saturday with a 26-0 loss to Glenbard West (9-0, 6-0).

The win marked the Hilltoppers' fourth undefeated season in five years, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Batavia is also headed to the postseason with a perfect 9-0 record.
