The Chicago-based production company Kingdom Entertainment filmed scenes for a new psychological thriller Tuesday in downtown Downers Grove.
The movie, Pro Reo, filmed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Another Round Bar and Grill, 5141 Main St.
Pro Reo tells the story of an up and coming defense attorney, Caine Brassal, who discovers that his longtime girlfriend, Samantha, is cheating on him with his best friend, Jesse.
The film stars Shannon Brown, Kimberly DeJesus, Joseph Weins and David McNulty. Screenwriter Michael Bachochin is serving as the director and executive producer.
Regi Bachochin, a producer for Kingdom Entertainment, said the crew chose Another Round Bar and Grill because its owner "has an appreciation for indie films and supporting the arts."
Kingdom Entertainment was founded by Bachochin and Brown as a means to "explore, fund, diversify and share a variety of the arts," according to the company's Facebook page. The firm specializes in pre-production and production of short-and feature-length films.
The crew is set to film later this week in Joliet, Chicago and Glenview.
