The League of Women Voters of Downers Grove, Woodridge and Lisle will host two candidate forums in Downers Grove in advance of the April 9 consolidated election.

A forum will be held for candidates in the Community High School District 99 school board race on Feb. 26, and for the village council on March 26.

Both forums are scheduled for 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 801 Burlington Ave.

Six candidates are running for four open seats on the District 99 school board—incumbents Debbie Boyle, Terry Pavesich and Julia Beckman, and newcomers Rick Pavinato, Henry Jakobsze and Martin Gorski.

In the village council race, six candidates are running for three open seats—incumbents Bob Barnett and Marilyn Schnell, and newcomers Don Jankowski, David Olsen, Greg Hoséand Susan Walaszek
