Nominate Your Fav DG Restaurant for Munch Madness!
DG, Woodridge, Lisle and Darien Patch sites to hold tourney.
Food is better than basketball.
Because of that, disregard filling out any sort of March Madness bracket and help us fill out one based on food instead. Downers Grove, Woodridge, Lisle and Darien Patch sites are teaming up for a local eatery-based tourney, and this week I need 16 Downers Grove restaurants that you guys are fond of.
So, in the comments, leave me some suggestions on what your favorite DG eateries are, and at the end of the week, the 16 with the most recommendations will make it in the tournament which starts next week! If we don't end up with at least 16 different restaurants, I'll choose the remaining eateries.
If you'd like to see what WR did last year with this, check out some articles here and here.

Keep the suggestions coming, and you don't have to limit yourself to just one. Let's set the cap at 3 different suggestions per reader, I suppose. This is really just a preliminary "poll" to determine the DG field.

Cedar Grill! Amazing falafel and curry chicken! All his food is made fresh, from scratch. My number one place to go in Downers. The taco place downtown on Main. I don't know the name, but they have the best steak tacos. Celebrity Sandwiches on Belmont. Great pulled pork sandwiches. Clearly my favorites are not the fanciest places, but I think they have the best food.

Zest at Lemon Tree is delicious and fun, my first choice in Downers Grove. I love Monday Burger Night, Zest has the best sweet potatoe fries I have ever had (and that would be quite a few variations from sweet to savory over the years), delicious scallop appetizer, wonderful halibut, and a lot of weekday specials and even special events that pair beer or wine with great food. Don't miss the sushi and wine and cheese flights either.

Zest at Lemon Tree Grocer is fun and delicious, my favorite place in Downers Grove. I particularly enjoy Monday $5 burger night. The sweet potato fries at Zest are the best I have ever had, and I've tried a lot. This isn't just a burger place though. I have had the scallops appitizer and a halibut meal that were excellent. The truffled mac and cheese is amazing. There are specials almost every weekday, and delicious special events.

Zest at Lemon Tree is the clear winner in my eyes! Not only do they have expertly paired wine and cheese flights, they have the most delicious burgers, awesome sushi, and a great coffee bar. You can get any of the prepared foods from the store while you dine-in and you are likely to catch at least one of the owners each time you visit. It's a great place to go on a date, with the kids, or with a group of friends. The live music is always great and the outdoor area is perfect for a nice day. Overall, Lemon Tree is doing a superb job as one of the newest restaurants in Downers Grove!

Zest by far is the best! Love the quality, service, and pricing! The location can't be beat especially with their outdoor seating! Their daily specials are amazing as well. Best sushi, burgers, and wine around. They do it all and do it the best! :)
