Registration is now open for the ninth annual Bonfield Express 5K in Downers Grove.
The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 22. It begins on Main Street in downtown Downers Grove, and continues through Denburn Woods.
The Downers Grove-based Bonfield Foundation is a not-for-profit that aims to build character and community commitment in high school students. Each year, the Bonfield Express 5K helps raise thousands of dollars to support the foundation's programs and scholarships.
Early online registration runs through Nov. 18. The cost is $25 per runner, or $85 for families.
On-site registration will be held Nov. 17-18 at the Advocate Good Samaritan Health and Wellness Center, 3815 Highland Ave. There, the cost to register will be $30 per runner, or $100 per family.
