Hmmm, lets see. A huge tax increase in Jan. for the stormwater scam, and likely higher prop. taxes in future years to pay off the downtown boondoggle bonds. FORGET IT, I'm going to lower sales tax Woodridge, and the internet for the big stuff.

Then your property tax increases will be bigger.

Do you remember what downtown looked like before the renovations? Parking was a nightmare before the garage was built.

If you think the Village is taxing you to death, then move to Woodridge. But who would want to live in a town with no downtown?

The town center of Woodridge is fine. Post Office and Library are easy to navigate and park at. And the Tornado Sirens in Woodridge work and are triggered during actual tornadoes. Best of all the sales tax is only 7.75%. Bolingbrook has lots of shopping options too, but their Mayor is another one of those big taxers, with little physical improvements to show for.
I'm not moving, but my money is. In summary: little $$ in DG, some WDRG, some internet, and even some Chicago. Cook taxes are higher but I frequently find the right clothing styles and sizes there. No consulting charge to the Chamber of Commerce for my input, its gratis.
