Teen Charged with Disorderly Conduct After Bothering Girl
Zachary Miglieri, 19, charged with disorderly conduct after May 2 incident involving 15-year-old girl.
From the Downers Grove Police Department:
On May 2, 2012 at 8:45 a.m., Downers Grove Police responded to a disorderly conduct incident in the 500 block of Sherman Street. Upon arrival, officers determined that a 15 year-old female was walking to school when a vehicle drove past her and honked its horn as she walked on the sidewalk. The vehicle then circled the block and again drove past her in the area of Stanley Avenue. and Sherman Street. The lone male occupant in the vehicle asked the female for directions and offered her candy. The female ignored the vehicle and continued walking on the sidewalk, at which time the vehicle drove away. The vehicle circled the block again and pulled up to the female in the area of Stanley Avenue and Grant Street. The male occupant again tried to engage the female in conversation by apologizing for his previous comment about candy and again asked for directions. The female directed him toward Ogden Avenue and kept walking. The male occupant never exited the vehicle, nor was there any attempt to lure the female into the vehicle. The vehicle left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Police located the vehicle and the male occupant in the 100 block of Ogden Avenue. The male now identified as Zachary M. Miglieri (Age 19), of Orland Park, Illinois, voluntarily responded to the Downers Grove Police Department for questioning in the incident. Mr. Miglieri was later charged with Disorderly Conduct and released after posting bond.
At this time no immediate threat to the public exists and this incident does not appear to be related to any previous incidents.
