Joannie's pre-game meatball recipe. A sure fire way to prepare for the big game. These meatballs have proven time after time to be the best tailgate food ever!!!

Joannie's meat- a -balls

2 lbs. ground beef
1 medium onion chopped fine
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 cup Oats

Mix all the above ingredients and roll them into balls. Put them on a cookie sheet and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.

Sauce:
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 cup ketsup
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tsp. worchester sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Melt butter and brown the onions together. Then add remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes. Then mix with meatballs.
Serve in crockpot with toothpicks.

my favorite cocktail meatball is served in a crock pot, soaking in a sauce made from 1 jar Heinz Chili Sauce and 1 large jar of grape jelly. It's been around from years and is always a hit.

I though you were talking Italian cooking. I have people calling me asking if I will be cooking my meatballs when they visit. If they arrive and they are not prepared you can see the disappointment in their face. Now that's a meatball !!!
