Boyle, Pavesich, Beckman, Pavinato Secure Seats on District 99 Board
Incumbents Debbie Boyle, Terry Pavesich and Julia Beckman and newcomer Rick Pavinato prevailed over two late drop-out candidates Tuesday.
With all precincts reporting, three incumbents and one newcomer have been elected to the Community High School District 99 Board of Education, according to unofficial election results. Incumbents Debbie Boyle, Terry Pavesich and Julia Beckman and newcomer newcomer Rick Pavinato were the top vote-getters Tuesday, according to the DuPage County Election Commission. They prevailed over Henry Jakobsze and Martin Gorski, both of whom dropped out of the race. Because Jakobsze and Gorski suspended their campaigns after the official deadline to withdraw from the election, they both appeared on the ballot. Barnett, Olsen, Hosé Elected to Downers Grove Council
With all precincts reporting, incumbent Bob Barnett and newcomers David Olsen and Greg Hosé were the top vote-getters Tuesday, unseating longtime Commissioner Marilyn Schnell.
With all precincts reporting, incumbent Bob Barnett and newcomers David Olsen and Greg Hosé have been elected to the Downers Grove Village Council. Barnett, Olsen and Hosé secured the most votes in Tuesday's election, according to unofficial results from the DuPage County Election Commission. They beat out longtime commissioner Marilyn Schnell and challengers Susan Walaszek and Don Jankowski. Olsen was the top vote-getter with 2,765 (20.5 percent), followed by Barnett with 2,753 (20.4 percent) and Hosé with 2,573 (19 percent). Schnell came in fourth with 2,288 votes. I met Barnett and Hose and liked what they had to say. Plus Barnett has been more than fair and works hard as a Trustee/Council member. Hose has already served our village on the Environmental Commission and Plan Commission for the past 5 years. Based on that dedication and commitment to our village he deserved our votes. No one ever spoke with me about Olsen but there were enough mailers for him… more ›
