Over 200 Dogs to Scavenge Downtown Downers Grove

Downers Grove, IL –   The downtown area will be invaded with dogs from all over scavenging not for trash, but for tasty morsels provided by Happy Dog Barkery.   The 4^th Annual Happy Dog Scavenger Hunt will take place on Sunday, October 21^st with start times between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.  The cost per dog will be $7.00 and registration is required.  Retractable leads will need to be locked at 6 feet during this event.

Check in at Happy Dog Barkery to receive the scavenger hunt and let the sleuthing begin!  New to this year’s scavenger hunt will be photo challenges, a food demonstration, and rescue organizations West Suburban Humane Society and Midwest BREW (Beagle Rescue, Education & Welfare) will be on hand to participate in the fun.  Both rescues will receive a donation from the event’s proceeds. 

As in years past, the human participants will answer questions, riddles, and puzzles about the historic downtown area, doggie facts, or Halloween fun.  A correct response means a delicious treat for the four-legged companions! At the conclusion of the scavenger hunt, each doggie participant will receive a special prize for a job well done and the human companion will be entered in a special drawing.

Gallery's Choice will again partner with Happy Dog for this year's Scavenger Hunt and will be providing you an opportunity to immortalize your dogs’ paw prints in ceramic clay.  They will be offering 3 versions of glazed and fired Immortal Paws:
•   Best Paw Forward - a quick single paw 4x4"  for $25.00
•   Walk of Fame Paws - both front paws, and owners can add the name and a date (birth date 4x8"     for $35.00  *** most popular size
•   Paws and People - front paws and an owner's hand, name and date 8x8" for $75.00

Just stop by Gallery’s Choice at 1014 Curtiss St. (just around the corner) on Sunday to get your paw print done.  Call 630-969-5660 if you have any questions or to reserve a time.  Other dates are available, and you don't have to participate in the scavenger hunt to get your prints done.
