ComEd Continues Work on Downers Grove Library Parking Lot

Also on Thursday: "E.T." at Fishel Park and a village storm water committee meeting.

The parking lot directly north of the Downers Grove Public Library, 1050 Curtiss St., will be closed again Thursday as workers from ComEd perform underground work.

Library staff said the work that began Wednesday will continue Thursday at 7 a.m., and is expected to be finished by the end of the day.

Alternative parking for the public is available just south of the library on Curtiss Street, as well as the parking garage on Mochel Drive.

Movie in the Park: 
The Downers Grove Park District will screen "E.T." during its "Movie in the Park" event Thursday. The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. in Fishel Park, 1036 Grove St., and is free for the public. Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.

Stormwater Meeting: Downers Grove's Stormwater and Flood Plain Oversight Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the village's Public Works Facility, 5101 Walnut Ave. The committee is scheduled to discuss ordinance updates and an open house.
