Library Invites Community to Skype with Author David Finch

This discussion is part of the state-wide reading initiative, Illinois Reads.

The Downers Grove Public Library will welcome author David Finch via Skype to discuss his book, "The Journal of Best Practices at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Finch's book details how he and his wife lived with his compulsions, inflexibility, and lack of social skills for five years until he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. Determined to improve himself and his marriage, Finch sets out to understand Aspergers and how it affects his relationship. The result is The Journal of Best Practices: a collection of maxims and epiphanies that are at once both humorous and insightful. Finch candidly provides readers with both a glimpse into life with an autism-spectrum condition and his quest for self-improvement.

Refreshments will be provided. To pick up a copy of the book, call (630) 960-1200 or visit the Ask Us Desk.
