The work of more than 130 artists will line the streets of Downers Grove this weekend during the annual Downtown Downers Grove Arts Festival.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7-8, at the intersection of Main Street and Burlington Avenue.
Artwork from a wide range of mediums will be featured, including ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paintings, drawing, photography and wood.
Festival-goers will have the opportunity to participate in interactive demos with the artists, and enjoy live music and food from local vendors. There will also be plenty of activities for kids, including crafts and an art scavenger hunt.
The event is organized by Amdur Productions, a nationally acclaimed arts festival production company that puts on several of the Midwest's most prestigious festivals. For more information, visit www.amdurproductions.com.
