Sandack to Visit Whittier Friday as Part of ‘Principal for a Day’

The "Principal for a Day" program is a statewide initiative to provide state and federal elected officials with an opportunity to observe, interact, and serve as an administrator in schools within their legislative district.

State Rep. Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) will visit Whittier School in Downers Grove on Friday, Nov. 1, as part of the Illinois Principals Association’s “Principal for a Day” program.

While at Whittier, Sandack, whose children attended elementary and middle school in District 58, will greet families, help with the morning announcements and the flag salute, visit with Whittier Principal Michael Krugman, tour classrooms, read to first-grade students and witness the launch of the fifth-grade catapults. 

The Illinois Principals Association “Principal for a Day” program is a statewide initiative to provide state and federal elected officials with an opportunity to observe, interact, and serve as an administrator in schools within their legislative district. This activity is designed to promote continued collaboration among legislators, administrators, staff, parents, and students in defining the direction of education.
