Claus and his sister, Clarice, have recently been groomed after being rescued along with 16 other dogs kept in deplorable conditions by an elderly animal hoarder.  Sadly, they lived in small crates throughout the home and were horribly matted and smelled of urine when rescued.  Their new, happier lives have begun, though, and hopefully that will soon result in living assomeone's pets, too.  Claus and Clarice are understandably a very shy little pair, but they are also very gentle, sweet and loving.  Since their arrival, they are learning to walk on leashes and enjoy sleeping on soft beds and eating nutritious food and yummy treats.  They are very bonded with one another and as a result, we would like them to be adopted together.  They are best suited for a quieter home where they will receive lots of TLC as they learn to adapt to living the pampered life they deserve.
