Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club Welcome 18 New Members

The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club welcomes 18 new members. New members join DGJWC in their ongoing effort to support and raise awareness of charitable organizations, individuals in need, and the community at large by donating funds, providing resources and hands-on service. 

 

The new member group is composed of 18 accomplished women, dedicated to voluntarism: Christine Cione of Downers Grove, Cathy Cook of Downers Grove, Jenni Grganto of Downers Grove, Candice Harkness of Downers Grove, Kristie Jones of Downers Grove, Elizabeth Kinder of Downers Grove, Linda Matthews of Downers Grove, Dana McGinnis of Downers Grove, Kit Moulton of Downers Grove, Kristin Noonan of Downers Grove, Natalie Oros of Downers Grove, Lisa Pombert of Downers Grove, Kim Santoro of Downers Grove, Patricia Sebben of Downers Grove, Crystal Surprenant of Willowbrook, Katelyn Vabalaitis of Lisle, Stephanie Vroman of Downers Grove, and Cyndi Wade-Chyna of Downers Grove.

“We are very excited about our growing membership,” says Membership Chair Anne Healy. “In addition, our club continues our membership effort with a prospective member event where women interested in joining can hear about the various service activities and social events planned for the upcoming year.”

The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club kicks off 2014 with a prospective member social event on Tuesday, January 28 from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Emmett’s Ale House located at 5200 Main Street in Downers Grove.  Prospective members can expect the meeting to be engaging and rewarding with a unique, hands-on service project as well as a social hour. They will learn about the Club’s effort to support the local charity, Sharing Connections, which membership has selected as the community improvement project for this year’s community service efforts.
