H.E.L.P. Dog of the Week!
Hi, my name is Elmo and I am a 5-month-old mutt. I may have Black Lab, Great Dane and/or Pit Bull in me. My foster mom pulled me from a high kill shelter in Chicago the day after Thanksgiving. I was so scared she had to peel me off the concrete floor of the cage I was laying in. Boy was I thankful to get out of that place. I was about 10 pounds underweight @ 30 lbs but have put on about 6 pounds since being fed regular meals. I am a tall lanky boy that will probably be around 70 pounds when I grow up. The only thing I love more than running fast and playing hard it snuggling with my foster mom and dad. I sleep quietly in my crate thorough the night and I am housebroken. I walk well on a leash, know sit and how to place (stay) in a specific spot my foster mom puts me in. We are working on down too. There are two cats here as well as 5 other dogs and I get along perfectly with everyone. My foster mom thinks because of my size and energy I’d do best with larger dogs, as I might be overwhelming for a little dog. So, if you are looking for a fun loving, silly boy that will snuggle up to you any chance he gets I am the pup for you!
