Tivoli Theatre to Host Midnight Showing of “Say Anything” on July 25

The Tivoli Theatre will host a special midnight screening of“Say Anything” on Friday, July 25, 2014. The digitally remastered screening commemorates the 25th anniversary of the movie, which stars Chicago native John Cusack and Oak Park native John Mahoney. 

Admission to the midnight show is $5 per person, and tickets are available at the Tivoli Box Office, 5021 Highland Avenue, Downers Grove, or online atwww.classiccinemas.com.

stars Ione Skye who plays Diane Court, a high-school valedictorian on the verge of heading to England on a prestigious scholarship. This is especially thrilling to Diane's divorced father, (John Mahoney), who has always shared a special relationship with the girl. When Diane begins dating irresponsible army brat LloydDobler (John Cusack), her father despairs at her choice of an underachiever. Pressured by her dad to break off the relationship, Diane spends the rest of the summer being pursued by the love-struck Lloyd, who does everything he can to win her back. Diane finally realizes there's more to life than perfection when her sainted father comes under the scrutiny of the IRS.
