Community Groups Invited to Participate in July 4 Parade

The deadline for submitting applications to participate in Downers Grove 2014 Fourth of July parade is June 12.

Applications to participate in Downers Grove’s 2014 Fourth of July parade are now being accepted through June 12.

Annual parade participants include a wide-range of civic and not-for-profit organizations, as well as bands and entertainment. In an effort to highlight the neighborhoods of Downers Grove, the village extends an invitation to local homeowner's associations and other neighborhood groups to participate in the 2014 Independence Day parade.

Neighborhood entries are encouraged to incorporate a theme that best represents their own unique attributes and may consist of a float or a walking entry. Youth groups, clubs, floats, classic vehicles, marching bands, historical marching groups and entertainment will be interspersed throughout the parade.
