Batavia——An 18-year-old Chicago woman faces two counts of aggravated battery after a stabbing Thursday on Batavia's east side, according to police.

Hinsdale/Clarendon Hills——The stolen items include two pairs of diamond earrings, a Rolex watch, and an iPad.

Western Springs——The former Flame restaurant in Countryside (803 Joliet Rd.) was busy throughout Wednesday with trailers and film crews as the building served as a location for the filming of scenes from the FOX network’s fall TV show.

Downers Grove——Two Lemont teens were charged Tuesday with burglarizing a home in unincorporated Downers Grove, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

Lisle——The FBI has joined an investigation of contracts that allegedly benefited two former DuPage Forest Preserve District employees, the Better Government Association and Daily Herald report.

Glen Ellyn—Glen Ellyn Meatheads Grand Opening Aug. 17—Meatheads will hold its grand opening on Aug. 17 at its location at 549 E. Roosevelt Road; two days prior to the grand opening, the burger joint will host private fundraising events for three local groups.

La Grange/La Grange Park——At only 14 years old, Natalie Krause, of La Grange, is selling her line of collectible Hirsute Creatures and avoiding the need to babysit.

Geneva——John Barton, who coached some of Geneva's legendary football and basketball teams, died at age 71. A community gathers to remember him.

St. Charles——The cleanup of mold at Norris Recreation Center has been completed, and St. Charles Community School District 303 believes the building will be safe for occupancy once air sample tests are completed.

Burr Ridge——The Illinois Policy Institute's released the latest edition of its Local Transparency Project this week, and rated 22 DuPage County area government agencies.
