Community to Health Fair, Arthritis Walk

The entire community is invited to Midwestern University to participate in both a Community Health Fair and Arthritis Walk on Saturday, September 24th from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The events will be held at the Midwestern University campus, located at 555 31st Street in Downers Grove.

At the Community Health Fair, area residents can receive free flu shots and free health screenings for diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypertension. Community members must be 18 years or older to participate in the health screenings and receive flu shots. All services are administered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Midwestern University will also host the Let’s Move Together Arthritis Walk, part of the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide event that raises funds and awareness to fight arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. The Arthritis Walk features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities including a kids zone, student corner, yoga lessons, food, and raffle prizes.
