Midnight Screening of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" at the Tivoli!

Following the fantastic response from their first midnight screening of “Raiders of the Lost Arc,” Tivoli Theatre has announced a second midnight movie – the John Hughes classic “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” (PG-13). The film will be presented using the theatre’s new state-of-the-art 4K digital sound and projection system. Slated for midnight on Friday, April 27th (12:01am April 28th), movie admission is only $5! The Tivoli Theatre is located at 5021 Highland Ave in downtown Downers Grove.

Released in 1986, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” is a classic teen coming of age comedy written and directed by John Hughes. The film follows Ferris Bueller, played by Matthew Broderick, a clever and tricky fast talker and legend in his own time. He decides to call out sick from school, feigning illness, to embark on a wild adventure in Chicago involving his girlfriend Sloane Peterson, his best friend Cameron Frye, and a Ferrari. From Wrigley Field to the Art Institute of Chicago to a Polish Pride parade, Bueller and friends intend on making the most of their day off. However, Ferris' sister (Jennifer Grey) and the school dean Ed Rooney suspect that Ferris is simply pretending to be ill. Both Rooney and Ferris' sister Jeanie are hot on Ferris' trail, determined to catch him and his friends in the act of class-cutting.
