Students at North High School in Downers Grove will present the musical SHREK on March 15, 16 and 17, with evening performances on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and a performance on Sunday at 2 p.m., according to a Community High School District 99 press release.
The community is welcome to attend. Tickets are $8 and $7 for students. Tickets are limited and are available at the door or by calling the activities department at 630-795-8413.
The District 99 press release describes the play as "a slightly fractured fairy tale with loads of laughs and lots of heart, Shrek is big-sized fun for all ages. Based on the DreamWorks animated film, the musical follows the adventures of everyone’s favorite ogre, Shrek, and the lovably annoying Donkey as they rescue the spirited Princess Fiona. "

"Along the way, lessons are learned and love blossoms," according to the news release. "With a lively score and upbeat story, this award-winning musical will leave you feeling lighthearted long after the curtain closes."
