Flavorchem Dedicates New $8.5M Production Facility in Downers Grove

Flavorchem, 1528 Brook Drive, creates flavors, colors and fragrances used in the food and beverage industries.

Flavorchem—a company that creates flavors, colors and fragrances for food and beverages—recently opened a new, $8.5 million production facility, the Downers Grove Economic Development Corporation (DGEDC) announced Monday.

The 40,000-square-foot facility is an expansion of Flavorchem's existing campus at 1528 Brook Drive. The campus includes the company's corporate headquarters, distribution and packaging centers, and the sales, customer services and marketing offices.

"(We are) pleased to expand our campus in Downers Grove," said Flavorchem President Kenneth Malinowski in a release. "Our company has three core values: environment, workplace and community. We are dedicated to addressing these principles and embedding them in our daily operations."

"We are fortunate to have a world-class company like Flavorchem in our community," Downers Grove Mayor Martin Tully said in the release. "Flavorchem's corporate headquarters and production facilities are an important part of our local economy."
