Downers Grove-Based Flexco Among Chicago's 'Best and Brightest' Companies'

Downers Grove-based Flexco has once again been selected as one of “Chicago’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” by The National Association for Business Resources (NABR). 

The company, which specializes in belt conveyor productivity, has been in business for more than 100 years and has been recognized by the NABR six years in a row.

“We are excited to receive this honor for the sixth straight year,” said Krista Howland, Flexco human resources manager – North America. “Each and every year, we review our policies and procedures to ensure that our employees are our No. 1 priority, and this recognition reinforces our belief that Flexco is a great place to work.”
 
An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories. They include: Compensation, Benefits, and Employee Solutions; Employee Enrichment, Engagement, and Retention; Employee Education and Development; Recruitment, Selection, and Orientation; Employee Achievement and Recognition; Communication and Shared Vision; Diversity and Inclusion; Work-Life Balance; Community Initiatives; Strategic Company Performance; and the Best of the Best Small Business. 
 
Flexco officials said the company focuses on six major aspects of an employee’s life: family, communications, wellness, improving processes, safety, and learning.

The winning 101 companies also vie for 12 elite awards, one granted for each category. An overall winner, who has excelled in all categories, will be honored with a “Best of the Best” award.

All winning companies will be honored on Monday, Aug. 5, at the Oak Brook Double Tree.
