Ice Festival: 'Love Is in the Air' in Downtown Downers Grove

Ice sculptures and live entertainment will take over the downtown area Friday through Sunday for the town's annual Ice Fest.

It's going to be an icy weekend in downtown Downers Grove—regardless of the weather.

The Downtown Downers Grove Management Corporation will host its annual Ice Festival, "Love Is in the Air," Friday through Saturday along Main Street and the surrounding area.

Ice sculptures will be on display all weekend, and various downtown businesses will hold sales and special offers. Live entertainment will be provided at Ballydoyle Irish Pub and Two Way Street Coffee House.

FRIDAY

Live Ice Carving Demonstration

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the southeast corner of Main and Curtiss streets

Live Entertainment at Ballydoyle Irish Pub 

5 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Aidan O'Toole 

9 p.m.: Modern Day Romeos ($5 cover)

Live Entertainment at Two Way Street Coffee House

8:15 p.m.: Hiroya Tsukamoto ($7 cover)

SATURDAY

Live Ice Carving Demonstrations 

Demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pocket Park, located between the cemetery and the Cellar Door, and at the southwest corner of Curtiss Street and Mochel Drive.

Pancake Breakfast
8 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational Church, 1047 Curtiss St.

Cost: $6 adults, $3 children 3 and over, free for children under 3

Movie at Tivoli Theatre
10 a.m.: Benefit showing of Ice Age: Continental Drift ($4, proceeds benefiting Noah's Hope)

Radio Disney AM 1300 Road Crew Live 
1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Main Street Station. Music, games, prizes and fun for all.

Live Entertainment at Ballydoyle Irish Pub 

9 p.m.: Green Thirteen

Live Entertainment at Two Way Street Coffee House

8 p.m.: Old Time Barn Dance Party ($5 cover)

SUNDAY
