Sushi House Opens In Downtown Downers Grove

The Japanese food chain opened its seventh location this week at 950 Warren Ave.

A local sushi chain has opened its newest location in the heart of downtown Downers Grove.

Sushi House, a Japanese restaurant and sushi bar, quietly opened Monday at 950 Warren Ave., the site formerly occupied by 2 Toots Train Whistle Grill. The strip mall also houses Scarletti's Italian Kitchen, Every Day's a Sundae, Zano Salon and Spa, Borrowed Earth Cafe and State Farm Insurance.

Sushi House already has five locations in Illinois—Westmont, Naperville, Wheaton, Oak Park and La Grange—and one in Leawood, KS. The original site in Westmont opened on Ogden Avenue in 1995.
