Lou Malnati's will serve heart-shaped pizzas at all of its 37 pizzerias this Valentine’s Day.  Each pizza is 9 inches. The Downers Grove Lou Malnati's is located at 44 W. 75th St. in Downers Grove and the phone number is (630) 241-2400

Giordano's will have heart-shaped pizzas available in restaurants Feb. 13 to 16, according to Giordano's website. Heart-shaped pizzas can also be shipped nationwide. There is a Giordano's at 5115 Main St. in Downers Grove. The phone number is (630) 435-5999. 

Skuddlebutts, 440 Ogden Ave. in Downers Grove, will have heart-shaped pizzas available on Valentine's Day for $10. The phone number is 630-964-6688. 

Roundhead's Pizza and Pub, 2001 63rd St. in Downers Grove, has heart-shaped pizzas available Feb. 14-16. The phone number is 630-434-9999. 

Barone's, 417 63rd St. in Downers Grove, started offering heart-shaped pizzas earlier this month and will continue to offer the pizzas through Valentine's Day, according to the Barone's Facebook page. The phone number is 630-435-5500. 

Make Your Own Heart-Shaped Pizza At Home

Ingredients:

  • 1 loaf of ready made bread dough
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (prepared or your own homemade)
  • 8 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 18-20 slices of pepperoni
Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  • If using a pizza stone or cast iron pizza pan, sprinkle with cornmeal. If using a cookie sheet or metal pizza pan, grease with olive oil, then sprinkle with cornmeal.

  • Remove dough from refrigerator and stretch or roll out to a thickness of 1/2-inch. Shape into a heart. You can use a cutter to create this shape. Prick several places with a fork.

  • Bake in preheated oven 10 minutes.

  • Remove from oven and top with pizza sauce, leaving a 1-inch border all the way around.

  • Sprinkle cheese over sauce.

  • Outline with pepperoni in a heart shape.

  • Bake another 10-20 minutes until pizza is golden and bubbly.
