Five Things You Need to Know for June 11-12

An 'outdoor spaces' seminar, a race and the headlines of the week.

1. Make the most of your outdoor spaces with Dream Interiors

Dream Interiors will hold a seminar on Outdoor Spaces from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 at the story. The staff will share the newest ideas for outdoor living spaces, including furniture, fabrics, rugs, pots and more. Wine, cheese and chocolate will be served. Cost is $20 and reservations are required.

4. Park District 5 & 10 Miler on Sunday

The Downers Grove Park District’s 34th Annual 5 & 10 Miler CARA Certified Races begin at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, June 12. The USATF-certified, rolling five-mile course through Downers Grove is well marked and monitored and features four aid/water stations. Ten miler participants complete two laps of the course. Registration is $30 beginning at 6 a.m. the day of the race.
