Lessons Learned at Downers Grove Safety Town

5- and 6-year-old children pay attention to Safety Town instructors during a morning class at the Recreation Center on Belmont Avenue in Downers Grove. The children are learning the safe way to look and listen to what's going on around them while riding bikes and crossing streets. During the Safety Town classes the children ride big wheel trikes to learn safety procedures. They will also view films and enjoy visits from local school bus and fire department staff.

Safety Town is being conducted all week long at the center.
