3. Storm cleanup to continue through July 8

Cleanup from the June 21 tornado is proceeding a bit ahead of schedule and is expected to wrap up later this week.

Republic Services will continue to assist in areas not yet completed, while village crews will remove hanging branches. Residents can report a location by calling 630-43-5500. The village will post daily updates of completed neighborhoods on its website through Friday, July 8. Effective July 11, all yard waste, including storm debris, will require refuse stickers.

4. Lunch 'n Books 

Students entering grades 4 through 8 will meet to discuss their favorite books and hear about new releases at the library's Lunch 'n Books meetings beginning today and continuing on Thursdays through July 21. Participants should bring a sack lunch and a favorite book; the library will provide drinks and dessert. Register at the library. Register online, in person or by phone at 630-960-1200.
