After a dreadful winter, nothing is more exciting than the celebration of Spring and with that, Easter! Here are some tid bits you may not know about Easter.

Easter has been called a movable feast because it doesn't fall on a set date every year. Christian churches celebrate Easter on the 1st Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox on March 21. Therefore, Easter is observed anywhere between March 22 & April 25 every year.

The exact origins of the name Easter is unknown for sure but most believe it dates back to the pagan holiday honoring the goddess of spring - Eostre - which symbolized rebirth.
