Free Flu Shots for Food Donation

Offering the community protection against the flu while helping the hungry, Advocate Good Samaritan Immediate Care Centers in Downers Grove and Lemont will offer free flu shots in exchange for non-perishable food items. Every person, 18 years or older, who brings an item to one of the centers will receive a free flu shot while supplies last on Saturday, November 10 and Sunday, November 11 between 10 am – 8 pm.

All food items will be donated to local community food banks before the Thanksgiving holiday.

“It’s important to get your flu shot every year,” said Dr. William S. Hulesch, family medicine physician on staff at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. “If you’re living with someone who has contracted the flu, take preventive measures to lower your risk of contracting the virus.”
