Hip Hoppity - Bunnies from 2nd Hand Ranch and Rescue to Visit Happy Dog Barkery

Have you heard of 2nd
Hand Ranch and Rescue in Princeton, IL?
I had not.  But are they working miracles
each day at this ranch because of their love, support, and attention to the
animals in their care.  2nd Hand Ranch & Rescue is a small, independent, licensed, wildlife rehab home run by Nancy.  They are newer to Illinois Department of
Natural Resources wildlife rehab and have rescued many critters over
the years while working closely with other longtime Rehabbers, The
Squirrel Board and are involved with 2 dog rescue groups.  Nancy
currently works for the Illinois Dept. of Agriculture, Bureau of Environmental
Programs and in her free time is an Illinois Department of

Agriculture Humane Investigator helping companion animal & hooved
animal pets in distress.

All wildlife is given lots of TLC, and raised with the goal to release back
into the wild where it is most happy.  Some long-term goals for 2nd
Hand Ranch & Rescue are to gain non-profit status and grow to have an
education area, for children of all ages to visit and see how wonderful our
Illinois Wildlife truly is.  As well as
help more Death Row Dogs and House Rabbits at Animal Controls. “So many end up there and I know we can't
save them all, but where would we be if we didn't try, right?  2nd Hand
Ranch & Rescue is companion animal rescue too!”

Since 2nd Hand Ranch has not yet received its
non-for-profit status, all funding comes from their pockets.  They do not have huge sponsors providing food
or vet care and supplies.  They depend on
people like you, who want to make a small difference in the world.  Of course, they would love monetary donations to help with vet costs, but also consider the following donations as well:

Dog Food for the Raccoons (no Old Roy please)

Produce or Puppy Formula for all

Bleach, scrub brushes, old towels, paper towels - anything to clean - rehabbing

is messy

Building materials of any sort - we always have need for anything to help us

build, Hardware cloth, lumber, screws we are growing!

Fabric and polar fleece to make hammies and for baby bedding

Preschool toys for to make baby critter toys out of, Lil tikes outside play

equipment and baby pools

Help with a vet bill

Dog Kennel panels 6x6
