Caring and Sharing in the True Spirit of the Holidays




Surprise the children in your life with a creative and fun gingerbread decorating event, while helping mothers and children this holiday season seeking safer futures free from domestic violence. Sponsored by Family Shelter Service

and the Southeast Community Resource Council, this fundraising event will take

place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets in Glen

Ellyn, on Saturday, December 7. Enjoy

a breakfast buffet (served 9:30 - 11 a.m. -- come when you like, stay as long as you want),  visits with Santa and Mrs.

Claus, musical entertainment, caroling, storytelling, balloon artist, costumed characters, face painting and each guest can decorate a pre-assembled
gingerbread house to take home.

All proceeds benefit Family
Shelter Service, offering help and hope to individuals affected by domestic

violence. Online registration begins October 21st , please visit

shelter and services during this holiday season.
