State Rep Candidate Debbie Boyle Seeks To Prioritize Paying Illinois’ Bills
Debbie Boyle, registered Nurse and candidate for 81st State Rep, is appalled by Wednesday’s report filed by Illinois’ Comptrollers office, which estimates the State’s bill backlog at $8.5 billion. According to the report, the “Department of Healthcare and Family Services is holding an estimated $2 billion in Medicaid bills alone, which was not the case last year.”(1) “As a nurse, a clinical manager, and an Illinois resident, these numbers trouble me. Social service providers working to provide for the most vulnerable are getting stiffed and are not receiving the state services they should receive,” says Boyle.

Illinois Democrats approved an income tax increase of 66% in order to pay down the State’s unpaid bills, but since the increase the backlog of unpaid bills has grown and small business owners who have provided goods or services to the State are not being paid.
Debbie Boyle is the only conservative candidate who will take on both the Democrat and Republican establishments in Springfield to repeal the tax hikes, pay our State vendors, and ensure that people with developmental and physical disabilities are provided appropriate care.

Boyle understands that responsible spending requires responsible leadership: “Springfield doesn’t need another cookie cutter representative. Our State has been on an economic decline for 30 years, and it’s time we had leaders in Springfield that will fight to exact the kind of change that will turn our State around and begin growing jobs again. I am that leader. I will hold Springfield accountable to keep their promises and make sure State vendors and social service providers are paid.”
