Coach Jennifer Weggeman, M.A. will share an overview of a dynamic & valuable creative problem solving process. It is a framework for creativity researched, developed and proven over the past 50 years. It is particularly relevant for personal & professional growth.
Two distinct kinds of thinking are essential for being creative.
- Divergent Thinking: Generating lots of options
- Convergent Thinking: Judging options, making decisions
The creative problem solving model has 3 stages:
- Explore the Challenge
- Generate Ideas
- Prepare for Action
This proven method studied by creativity research experts Alex Osborn and Sidney Parnes for approaching a problem or a challenge is an imaginative and innovative way to redefine opportunities, come up with ideas and take action on those ideas.
Although structured, it is very flexible. It is powerful because you can apply the process to ANYTHING! This framework can be used individually or in a group for any type of deliberate creation.
This is a dynamic and fun group experience! By incorporating different interactive tools and techniques you will “think about thinking” in a new way!
