Help Downers Grove Firefighters Fill the Boot for MDA

Members of the Downers Grove Fire Department Local 3234, along with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, will celebrate their 60-year partnership and kick off the firefighters' annual Fill the Boot fundraising campaign to benefit children and adults affected by muscle disease throughout the Downers Grove area.

Downers Grove firefighters will fan out with boots in hand for this year’s drive from from June 12 to June 14 at the intersections of Finley and Butterfield and Main and Warren and Ogden and Main.

Funds raised through 2014 Downers Grove Fill the Boot event will help support MDA's programs of worldwide research, specialized health care services, and day-to-day support – which includes sending children affected by muscular dystrophy and related diseases to a weeklong, barrier-free MDA summer camp at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson, IL.

Say hello to your local fire fighters and toss a few dollars into the boot for MDA to assist children and adults living with neuromuscular disease in Downers Grove.
