Mustang Cam: Pics from DGS Band's Appearance at Sugar Bowl
Downers Grove South Marching Mustangs hoofed it on the field at the 80th annual Allstate Sugar Bowl, Jan. 2 in Louisiana.
You might have missed it—but don't worry. Thanks to plenty of photos and updates to the Downers Grove South marching band's Twitter page, you can re-live it.
The Marching Mustangs trekked to Louisiana, where they performed in the halftime show with 14 other marching ensembles Jan. 2. As part of the experience, they participated in a field show competition (with the others) and were named Grand Champions, sweeping every category.
That performance earned them an extra honor. The Marching Mustangs unfurled and held the large field flag for the national anthem as part of the pre-game ceremony.
