Park District P.I.G. Championship winners

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – The Downers Grove Park District hosted the 3rd Annual BIG PIG, The P.I.G. Championship of the WorldTM on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road. A total of 98 players competed in the double elimination basketball shooting tournament in ten different brackets to take home the title of P.I.G. Champion of the World.  The winners of the brackets are as follows:

3/4th grade male: 1st place: JP Watts, 2nd place: Jacob Bozeman

5/6th grade male: 1st place: Peter Orfanos, 2nd place: Nathan Brauweiler

5/6th grade female: 1st place: Katie Jensen, 2nd place: Cassidy Dixon

7/8th grade male: 1st place: Bryan Eckmann, 2nd place: Matt Higgins

7/8th grade female: 1st place: Margaret Miller, 2nd place: Erin Miller

16-24 yrs male: 1st place: Jacob Doro, 2nd place: CJ Opel

25-45 yrs male: 1st place: Bob Wooton, 2nd place: Ryan Watts

36-45 yrs female: 1st place: Mary Lohrmann, 2nd place: Patricia Miller

46 yrs and up male: 1st place: Larry Samora, 2nd place: Mike Mullikin

Corporate Division: 1st place: Josh Craddock, 2nd place: Joel Mudd

Skills Challenge: Youth: Nick Nelli, Adult: Keith Sigale

Winners took home prizes and certificates from Chipotle Mexican Grill, Famous Dave’s BBQ, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Play it Again Sports, Sports Clips and Downers Grove Park District. Free drawings were done every 30 minutes throughout the event to add to the excitement. BIG PIG participant Kevin Bozeman won a 3.5 lb. Honey Baked Ham (photo attached).
