Shooting at Johnson County Jewish center

This heart breaking news touched my heart as it did many. While I was looking for words to extend my condolence to the families who lost their loved ones in this tragedy, I got a call from my father. As we talked we discussed our reactions and feelings on this incident. He said, “It’s godliness to love all others than yourself and seek His blessings. He showers blessings on all of us. Just like it rains equally on orchards, gardens and fields, we all share His blessings irrespective of one’s faith. Therefore, following godly ways; we love all communities and condemn all the ills and vices toward any humans or non human.” The suspect was long known as anti semitic. He murdered three people just because of their belief. I strongly condemn this act that led to this tragedy. We are followers of one God that sent Abraham, father of all the prophets. Therefore, all prophets and their followers are worthy of respect and right to live and exercise their religion fully. The Holy Qur’an states, "Say, ‘We believe in . . . that which was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Tribes, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and other prophets from their Lord’" (3:85).

I hope and pray that we all human beings live peacefully on this earth and strive to  make it a safe haven for all of us to live happily and fearlessly, amen.
