The DGWA wishes to thank all the participants for their professional and informative display during the March 23 forum held at the Lincoln Center.
The performance by all the candidates showed a clear grasp of the issues facing the Village of Downers Grove as residents offered questions to the panel in an open forum.
Special thanks to Bruno Behrend from the For The Good of Illinois Organization for his presentation covering transparency issues facing local municipalities. Bruno gives a refreshing and passionate perspective on government transparency and oversight.

Candidates in attendance were: Marilyn Schnell, Robert Barnett, Greg Hose, David S. Olsen, Don Jankowski and Susan Walaszek
All of these individuals are an asset to the community and have served the community in various capacities. All are very qualified to serve as council members. They should be encouraged to continue on in that endeavor no matter the outcome in this election cycle.
