Just curious; why can't this feline be declawed? The few cat's we've owned have had all four paws declawed. We valued our skin, and our furniture NOT to have our pets totally declawed! Too many scratches and damage to furniture.

"The Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights is opposed to cosmetic surgeries and to those performed to correct 'vices.' Declawing generally is unacceptable because the suffering and disfigurement it causes is not offset by any benefits to the cat. Declawing is done strictly to provide convenience for people. Honestly, I couldn't understand why they spent so much money for a parking lot in the first place???

The problem is the Dept of Agriculture's standards are aimed at farm animals. The standards are wayRead More too low for pet breeding but the USDA has not yet differentiated housepets. She is giving the standard boilerplate answer all puppy mill breeders give. The fact that she passed inspections doesn't mean a thing. Everyone knows the vet she has enlisted is a puppy mill breeder himself so that is an empty argument too. Blah, blah, blah - the same old answers. You've got a good smoke & mirrors show going Madam, but the public is starting to catch on.....
