Home fireworks...REALLY?  Aside from being against the law, they make my dog a complete nervous mess. I have to put her on doggie downers all summer because I have some inconsiderate neighbors; Sherman & Stanley Streets.
It's so bad I tried to call DGPD. What a complete disappointment. They couldn't care less and never even drove by. My tax dollars hard at work. How can they say DG is the 2nd best place to live in, citing its safety record ; when residents are allowed to break laws?

I agree 100%,60th and Osage Ave same thing, we too have this problem during the summer months. Most fireworks are cherry bombs which not only drive our dog but startles the hell out of us. One neighbor a Vietnam vet has to deal with flashbacks,do they care no! Adults along with young adults

Who cares about your stupid dog? I don't see why we can't have fireworks in Illinois , in the free states of Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan they are allowed to purchase fireworks. In Illinois they treat us like little children.

Add another complaint about the fireworks at 60th and Osage Avenue. Dog or no dog the fireworks are illegal. Let's all call the police on the coming 4th at get it stopped.

I think a lot of people "care about the stupid dog" DHD. They also care about Vets and illegal activities. Any chance of you just moving to one of the "free" states?
