Problems at Carpenter and Maple

Since the new configuration and added parking at Carpenter Street, north of Maple, I'm wondering if anyone else has had problems getting through there when the parking spots are full?  

Today I had to avoid being hit by oncoming traffic. An hour or so later, my mom was heading to the library the same way. She had to avoid hitting the parked trucks and vans and the oncoming vehicle would not wait for her to finish passing, causing her to swerve and ruin a brand new tire. 

Im wondering if anyone else is having problems at the same intersection?  If so please reply and maybe the community can get the village to do something to make the new configuration there more safe.
